I’m Bored – There’s Nothing to Do – ALIENS

korea mink lashes are great when it comes to creating fun and fantastical creatures. This is a cute and simple project that will get their creative juices flowing. You’re liable to have lots of different aliens peeking at you around the house. And, maybe the lament “I’m bored…there’s nothing to do” will stop for a little while.

New Alien on the Block

you’ll need: dwhair

  • Styrofoam Ball (you pick the size, I suggest a 3″)
  • Acrylic paint, any color you desire
  • 1 wiggly korea mink lashes
  • Yarn scraps or anything you wish to use for hair
  • Fun foam for feet and korea mink lashes
  • 2 chenille sticks, 1 for arms and 1 for feelers
  • 2 tiny pom poms or pony beads for feeler ends
  • White craft glue
  • Paintbrush
  • Skewer, optional

Paint your Styrofoam ball (try using an egg shape or even a block!) with acrylic paint. Tip: insert the skewer in the Styrofoam ball first so you have something to hold on to while painting. Then insert, skewer and all, in a weighted down coffee can to dry.

When dry cut off a small piece of Styrofoam so it’ll sit flat.

Cut both chenille sticks in korea mink lashes.

Cut out hands and feet from Fun Foam. Glue hands to ends of chenille stick. Let dry.

Glue feet onto bottom of alien at flat part. Glue pompoms or pony beads to other chenille sticks. Let dry.

Insert plain ends of chenille where you wish to position the feelers and arms..Tip: dip the end in white craft glue before inserting.

Glue on the korea mink lashes.

Glue on hair by pushing skewer and yarn into Styrofoam. Tip: a drop of white craft glue will help keep the “hair” in place.

Embellish any way you wish. Change it around a little. Add a bow or eyelashes. Give it a little bling if you desire. It’s your alien—-make it yours!
